NST-Connect Terms of Use

1. NST-Connect services

NST-Connect provides information about rental properties in Japan and supports individual customers in preparing, submitting, and tracking rental applications.

Information on the website does not guarantee that a property is still available, that an application will be approved, or that a lease will be signed.

2. Account

You may sign in with Google or with a link sent by email. You are responsible for protecting access to your account and notifying NST-Connect if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Information and documents

You must provide accurate, current information and documents that you are entitled to use. Do not submit your My Number, passwords, PINs, or online banking credentials.

NST-Connect may ask you to correct or add information needed to process your application.

4. Property information and costs

Property availability, rent, costs, and conditions may change based on information from landlords, property managers, or other relevant parties.

Costs shown on the website are estimates unless clearly marked as confirmed. NST-Connect will provide the necessary information before you decide to continue the process or sign a lease.

5. Rental applications

Submitting an application through NST-Connect does not mean that the property has been reserved, the application has been approved, or a lease has been signed.

The landlord, property manager, guarantor company, or other screening party may request additional information and makes its own screening decision.

6. ¥50,000 commitment payment

The ¥50,000 commitment payment is governed by separate Commitment Payment Terms provided by NST-Connect.

If the two documents differ regarding this payment, the Commitment Payment Terms take priority only for the commitment payment.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• impersonate another person or provide false information or documents;
• use the service for unlawful purposes or infringe another person’s rights;
• disrupt the system, bypass security controls, or interfere with the service;
• collect website data by automated means without NST-Connect’s permission.

8. Content and intellectual property

The website, its content, design, and software belong to NST-Connect or the relevant licensors. You may use them only for personal purposes related to finding and renting a home unless otherwise permitted.

9. Changes or interruptions to the service

NST-Connect may change, suspend, or discontinue part of the service when necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or operational changes. Where appropriate, NST-Connect will give advance notice of material changes.

10. Responsibility

NST-Connect will provide the service with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, NST-Connect is not responsible for screening decisions made by third parties, changes to information from external sources, or events beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Personal data

How NST-Connect collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

NST-Connect may update these Terms when the service or applicable law changes. The new version will state its version number and effective date. Material changes will be communicated appropriately before they take effect.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute arises, both parties will first seek to resolve it through good-faith discussions. If no resolution is reached, the Tokyo District Court will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, to the extent permitted by law.
